Cari amici che ci seguite con tanto affetto, nel 2023 abbiamo festeggiato insieme i 21 anni del Didjin’Oz Festival.

Ormai da più di vent’anni ogni estate ci ritroviamo per celebrare l’unione tra diverse culture, ballare insieme, ascoltare buona musica e soprattutto diffondere la conoscenza di questo straordinario strumento che è il didgeridoo.

Il Festival tuttavia non si esaurisce in quei giorni che viviamo insieme. Molti mesi di progettazione, contrattazione con gli artisti, preparazione di scenografia, proiezioni, permessi, pubblicità, e molto molto altro fa sì che di fatto questo sia quasi un lavoro che dura tutto l’anno.

Poi è arrivata la pandemia e anche se un po’ scricchiolando siamo riusciti a non saltare neppure un anno di Festival. Siamo molto fieri di questo!

Quest’anno però siamo arrivati a fare una riflessione onesta e sincera con noi stessi, con cui di fatto ci siamo resi conto che è arrivato il tempo anche per noi di prenderci una meritata pausa per godere di quello che è stato fatto fino ad oggi e guardare con serenità e nuova energia alle possibilità del futuro.

Questa lunga ma doverosa introduzione è per far sapere a tutti che il Didjin’Oz Festival 2024 non avrà luogo.

Ma non disperate! Questo non è un addio, ma un semplice arrivederci a un futuro che ancora non sappiamo dove e come sarà, ma che stiamo già immaginando! 

Tutto lo staff del Didjin’Oz vi augura già da ora un’estate piena di musica, buona compagnia e tanto divertimento!

Important announcement for all our followers

Dear friends who follow us with so much affection, in 2023 we celebrated together the 21st anniversary of the Didjin’Oz Festival.

For more than twenty years now, every summer we come together to celebrate the union of different cultures, dance together, listen to good music, and above all, spread the knowledge of this extraordinary instrument that is the didgeridoo.

However, the Festival does not end in those days we live together. Many months of planning, negotiation with artists, preparation of scenography, projections, permits, advertising, and much more make this almost a year-round job.

Then the pandemic arrived and even though we creaked a little, we managed not to skip a single year of the Festival. We are very proud of this! 

This year, however, we have come to an honest and sincere reflection with ourselves, with which we have realized that it is time for us to take a well-deserved break to enjoy what has been done until now and look calmly and with new energy at the possibilities of the future.

This long but necessary introduction is to let everyone know that the Didjin’Oz Festival 2024 will not take place.

But do not despair! This is not a goodbye, but a simple see you later to a future that we still do not know where and how it will be, but that we are already imagining! 

The entire Didjin’Oz staff wishes you already now a summer full of music, good company, and lots of fun!
